Days after her husband’s international flight, Madhagani’s body was found discarded in a wheelie bin, and it was then that he allegedly called her family to notify them of her passing.

According to The Herald Sun, they cited those connected with the inquiry into Ms. Madhagani’s passing, her husband Ashok Raj Varikuppala took their kid on a plane to India a few days before her passing.

After that, he called relatives in Victoria and gave them information; it is now believed that these relatives were begging him to come back to Australia.

Additionally, Mr. Varikuppala allegedly informed authorities that he would be open to working with detectives.

A police spokeswoman stated in a statement to The Age that while they were still investigating the circumstances surrounding Ms. Madhagani’s murder, they thought she knew her killer.

“At this stage in the investigation, it is believed the parties involved are known to one another and the offender may have fled overseas,” a spokeswoman stated.

“There is no immediate threat to the community and no arrests have been made.”

Ms. Madhagani’s corpse was found in a closed wheelie bin on Saturday at Buckley, in the Surf Coast Shire, southwest of Melbourne, not far from Mount Pollock Road.

After setting up a crime scene nearby and closing the road while they conducted their investigation, officers then started looking into another location, which was a home property in Mirka Way – Point Cook in southwest Melbourne, which was 82 kilometers away.

It is assumed that the home where Ms. Madhagani, her husband, and their kid resided was the site for the second scene.

Madhagani Remembered as ‘Empathetic’ Person

Since the young mother’s death was confirmed, tributes have been pouring in. One neighbor told the Herald Sun that Ms. Madhagani was “full of life.”

“She was so polite and lovely. The neighbor said, “Everyone would want to have Swetha in their lives.”

“It’s unbelievable she’s no longer among us; she was so vibrant. We all deserve respect, and even worse, a life has been lost—she was recovered someplace else.”

A second Point Cook resident, who said that her family was “very nice” and that she had “never” seen them dispute, also voiced astonishment at the young mother’s passing.
The owner of the land on each side of where Ms. Madhagani’s bones were discovered, Eric Lewis, expressed his shock that such a horrific finding could occur in the little rural hamlet.

“I’m shocked,” he exclaimed.

“What is happening here in Buckley, I just can’t believe it.”

There aren’t many people who live close to the location where Ms. Madhagani’s body was discovered; one local told the Herald Sun that the news stunned “everyone” in the neighborhood.

It isn’t easy to imagine what is taking place here. We frequently take our dogs for walks past the railroad tracks in that vicinity,” he remarked.

“This will certainly shock everyone here, it’s just not something you expect.”
