The Toyota then veered off the right side of the road and down an embankment before slamming into a fence and coming to a stop, according to the highway patrol.
The car’s driver was unharmed.
Magnus White was brought to the hospital, where he passed away.
The fatal collision is still under investigation. Although it was unclear right away if criminal charges would be brought, state investigators do not believe that drinking, drugs, or speeding were at play.
White’s parents, Michael and Jill, as well as his brother, Eero, are left behind.
When he was ten years old, he started competing in national races.
In this extraordinarily trying time, USA Cycling sent its deepest condolences to the White family, his colleagues, friends, and the Boulder community.
