Nan Garcia is a member of the Jeffersonville High School women’s basketball team. She was a Penn State University transfer. Her full name is Nangely Garcia. She was a member of the Puerto Rican National U17 Team.
The Jeffersonville native just finished her junior year on the women’s basketball team. Last season, the 6-foot wing averaged 7.5 points and 3.9 rebounds per game for the Rockets.

Garcia took bronze for her native Puerto Rico at the recent 2023 GLOBAL JAM U23 event in Toronto. She had three points, two rebounds, and one blocked shot in over 10 minutes off the bench in Puerto Rico’s 78-55 loss against the University of Louisville (a.k.a. Team USA) on Wednesday.
She had seven points, three assists, and one steal off the bench in Puerto Rico’s 81-58 victory over Basketball Africa League the next day. Garcia got three points, one rebound, and one assists off the bench in Puerto Rico’s 81-59 loss against Canada on Saturday. She got three points and one rebound off the bench in Puerto Rico’s bronze-medal game triumph against BAL on Sunday.

Nangely Garcia, a freshman forward, was nominated to the 2022-23 Academic All-MAC team after averaging 5.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. She appeared in four games and missed eight due to injury. She scored in double digits six times, including a season-high 20 versus Saint Francis on December 8.
On November 9, she scored 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting in the season opener against Oakland. On November 17, she also tallied 10 points and five rebounds against Dayton.
